AUDIGY is NOT a good solution. I have been unable to get the Audigy to support ANY EAX in games that it is supposed to. I have been troubleshooting the problem for ages, going back and forth on email tech support. ...but my Audigy works perfect in all the games I have played. Perhaps you have a faulty card?

Audigy 1 and 2 problems
The best headphone filters can be found on Sensaura cards (such as Hercules cards, Fortissimo III and others), followed by the Audigy and Philips cards, although the difference is slight. The Live's headphone filters are not the greatest, but they should still work convincingly.
